Troy Gentry, half of award-winning Country Music duo Montgomery Gentry, is finding he has a lot more apologizing to do for an incident that happened back in 2006 when the Kentucky native was charged with a felony for illegally killing a bear held in an enclosure in Minnesota, and claiming it was caught in the wild.
However, Troy’s problems have returned when animal rights group known as SHARK (Showing Animals Respect and Kindness) released a You Tube video of Troy killing the bear because SHARK wanted to bring the issue back to public light because they felt Troy got off to easy.
Even though Troy apologized after the incident, paid a fine of ,000, served a period of probation and even gave up his rights to hunt and fish in the state of Minnesota for a period of five years, he’s speaking out again and saying “there is no one who feels as bad about this as I do, I have beaten myself up about this over the years and realize what a horrible mistake I made”.
“I am not proud of what I did and I am truly sorry,” he concludes, signing his name at the bottom of a written statement, “I believe people can change, and since this happened, I know in my heart that I am a different and better person”.
Time will tell if this latest gesture will out weigh the sentiment behind the YouTube video, which has already had more than 66,000 views, but in the meantime, Troy and his singing partner Eddie Montgomery, recently exited Columbia Records, the label they called home for more than a decade and continue to tour, as well as work on new music.

Gwyneth talked about how supportive Faith was during that time and how she was always there to answer the many questions she had about the business, “Faith was like an encyclopedia for me”
Gwyneth adds, “To me, my character could’ve been Faith, but took a turn in the wrong direction.”

Country Music fans across the nation and around the world who have become avid fans of Blake Shelton watched as he picked up his first trophy for CMA Male Vocalist of the Year this week, a feat he’s been looking forward to for many years.
It was only a couple of years ago that Blake stated he wanted to be considered a guy who sings songs that are really difficult to sing, and push himself as a serious vocalist and he certainly has with a string of hits that include ‘Home’, ‘Goodbye Time’, ‘Don’t Make Me’, and his latest ‘Who Are You When I’m Not Looking.’
After winning his award for male vocalist of the year Wednesday night he said backstage, “I’ve been sitting in that audience out there for 11 years–I’ve counted them–watching three different groups of popular artist come and go in that amount of time and I was never one of them, but I’m so thankful for this award and I hope that I’m standing up here 20 years from now just like George Strait and talking about the same freaking piece of glass right there and what it means to me.
