Troy Gentry, Montgomery-Gentry by MrNews1320

Troy Gentry, half of award-winning Country Music duo Montgomery Gentry, is finding he has a lot more apologizing to do for an incident that happened back in 2006 when the Kentucky native was charged with a felony for illegally killing a bear held in an enclosure in Minnesota, and claiming it was caught in the wild.

Feeling that Troy got off much too easy for this offense, the animal rights group SHARK (Showing Animals Respect and Kindness) released a You Tube Video of Troy killing the bear.

Even though Troy apologized after the incident, paid a fine of 15,000 dollars, served a period of probation and even gave up his rights to hunt and fish in the state of Minnesota for a period of five years, he’s speaking out again and saying “there is no one who feels as bad about this as I do, I have beaten myself up about this over the years and realize what a horrible mistake I made”.

“I believe people can change and since this happened, I know in my heart that I am a different person and better person, I am not proud of what I did and I am truly sorry”.

At this point in time more than 66,000 people have viewed the You Tube video, so only time will tell if Troy’s humble apology will out weigh this video, but in the mean time he and partner Eddie Montgomery who recently exited Columbia Records after more than a decade, will continue to tour as well as work on new music.
